The hot bat continues to ride in New York for Daily Fantasy Baseball owners as Gary Sanchez continues to impress. The Yankees rookie helped put together another big time fantasy performance finishing the game going three for five with one double, one home run (10th of the year) and four runs batted in.
Now unfortunately for us the Yankees/Baltimore Orioles get going in the afternoon so it leaves us looking for another option to ride tonight. One of the options we like to carry us is Carlos Carrasco of the Cleveland Indians. The Indians righty has posted three straight games above 41 fantasy points on FanDuel while striking out at least eight batters in four straight games.
Meanwhile at the plate, Mookie Betts is another great option after he went five for five on Friday Night. The Red Sox outfielder is currently riding a five game hitting streak that featured two multi hit games while also driving in four runs over that stretch.
Here are the Daily Fantasy Baseball options we are looking at for tonight’s 11 game MLB Slate.
MLB Daily Fantasy 411 for Saturday August 27th, 2016
Top Option – Carlos Carrasco, Cleveland Indians: The options on the mound are pretty solid this evening with guys like Noah Syndergaard and David Price as the other top options. In the end the Indians starter was too good to pass up as he has posted at least six innings of work in seven of his last eight games while posting at least six strike outs in five of those contests.
Fantasy Sleeper Option – Jake Peavy, San Francisco Giants (Update: Giants place Peavy on the 15-day dl)
Evan Gattis, Houston Astros: While Gattis might not be Sanchez he has put together back to back good games for his daily fantasy owners. Gattis is three for seven in those two games with two home runs and four runs driven in. Overall depending on the site you are playing on the Astros catcher has posted five double digit fantasy performances over his last seven games.
Back Up Option: Mike Zunino
Fantasy Sleeper: Travis d’Arnaud
Brandon Moss, St. Louis Cardinals: The Cardinals first baseman continues to help the Cardinals night in and night out while posting some fantasy numbers. Moss is riding a five game hitting streak that features three straight two hit performances while adding three home runs over his last five games.
Back Up Options: Paul Goldschmidt, Joey Votto and Ryan Howard
Josh Harrison, Pittsburgh Pirates: Now Harrison might not be our top option as we like Robinson Cano and Jose Altuve tonight as well. That being said Harrison will provide some salary cap relief for our lineup while also giving us a solid option at the plate. The Pirates will square off with the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park which ranks as one of the top hitters ball parks in all of baseball.
Back Up Option: Jose Altuve and Robinson Cano
Jedd Gyorko, St. Louis Cardinals: Continuing to ride the hot bat landed us with another Cardinals hitter and this time that one is the teams third baseman. Gyorko is five for his last 14 with two home runs, three runs batted in and five runs scored.
Back Up Options: Todd Frazier
Ketel, Marte, Seattle Mariners: After staying away from the Mariners/Chicago White Sox matchup yesterday with two good arms on the mound tonight would be a good night to jump back on ship. Now much like Harrison, Marte is a good salary cap saver but if you have the extra cash you could spend a little heavier.
Back Up Option: Francisco Lindor and Brad Miller
Fantasy Sleeper: Adeiny Hechavarria
Mookie Betts, Boston Red Sox: As we stated above Betts continues to put together an impressive 2016 campaign. Tonight I suggest riding his hot bat in the lineup if the salary cap numbers work out for you. Over his last five games, Betts has delivered double digit performances in three of those games on FanDuel.
Keon Broxton, Milwaukee Brewers: We could have gone with a few of the outfielders in tonights Pirates/Brewers matchup. In the end, Broxton is a fantasy cap saver but has also been a great fantasy option of late for his fantasy owners. Last night, Broxton went one for two with two walks while picking up a double and a stolen base.
Back Up Options: Mike Trout, Yoenis Cespedes, Kevin Kiermaier and Michael Bourn
Fantasy Sleeper Options: Jeff Francoeur
